Bentley is a line of British luxury automobiles founded by W.O. Bentley in 1919. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG with headquarters in Crewe, England. Together with his brother HM, Bentley also purchased Lecoq and Fernie, a French auto company, renaming it Bentley and Bentley. After trying to make airplane engines during WWI, the company was resurrected as Bentley Motors. The European brand car has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times—1924, 1927-1930, and 2003.
Current Bentley models include the Continental GT, Continental Flying Spur, and Mulsanne. Since beig launched at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show, the Continental lineup has expanded from one fast sedan to seven even faster sedans and convertibles, and one flex-fuel vehicle. Each model is powered by a 6-liter V12 engine. However, the Continental Supersports runs on either gasoline or biofuel. This is part of Bentley’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint. The Bentley Mulsanne, launched in 2009, is a long luxurious gasoline-powered sedan.

It will have a top speed of 170 miles per hour and can accelerate 0-62 mph in 5 seconds. With a price tag of $214,000, the Bentayga will be the most expensive SUV in the world. In 2017, the first plug-in hybrid model of the Bentayga was launched.
