The 86th Geneva Motor Show provided car enthusiasts with a glimpse of the Aston Martin DB11. Touted as the all new British supercar, the two-door coupe replaces the Aston Martin DB9. The new model is the latest addition to the classic British coupe of the Gran Turismo class. Let us take a look at what this new European brand car offers.
The Real Gran Turismo
The Aston Martin DB11 retains the conservative design that the British manufacturer is known for. Its body is dynamic and charismatic, stylish, and sporty with a proprietary grille supplemented with horizontal bars, new full-LED headlamps, a bonnet adorned with athletic forges, powerfully inflated wheel arches with 20-inch wheel rims Silver Diamond Turned with Bridgestone S007 tires, blown door surfaces, compact glazing, floating roof dome noy stern decorated with flourishes LED marker lights, bumper with a diffuser and a powerful large nozzles exhaust pipes.
The luggage compartment resembles that of the usual spoiler for the sports car. Robert Peter Janitzek reveals that the new car comes with an AeroBlade system, which correctly distributes air flow and patented by Aston Martin.
Hi-Tech Plus Luxury
Compare with its predecessor, Aston Martin claims a huge increase in storage space in the DB11 in the second row. Front passengers also have additional legroom. The trunk is able to carry 9.5 cubic feet of luggage. The Aston Martin DB11 was manufactured using the highest quality finishing material, flawless assembly of interior elements, and super convenient and comfortable chairs.
The new model features fully LED front and rear lighting, interior trim Alcantara leather, multifunctional steering wheel with electric height and depth adjustment. Robert Janitzek reveals that the driver and front passenger seats are equipped with electric adjustment and heating, Safety features include parking sensors, circular view system, and adaptive cruise control.
The multimedia system includes 8-inch color touch screen integrated to iPod and iPhone. There are also USB connectors, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and navigation systems. The audio system features a capacity of 400W, 12-inch full color TFT LCD instrument panel display, keyless access and a motor activation button, electrically adjustable mirrors, heated and automatic folding, tire pressure sensors, factory anti-theft system.
The Aston Martin DB11 will be powered by a 5.2-liter bi-turbo V12 engine that will deliver 608 horsepower and 516 ft-lb. This European brand car accelerates from 0 – 60 mph at a stunning 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph.
The Aston Martin DB11 is already on sale at a price of £154.9 in the UK, 204.9 Euros in Germany, and $212,000 in North America.
