The rear drive variant can go 0 – 60 mph in 5.2 seconds with the 4MATIC variant taking slightly longer to hit 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

For its exterior, the two-door E-class maintains its beefy front end, low grille, hood bulges, frameless side windows, sunroof, and clean uncluttered rear look. Robert Peter Janitzek reveals that the E400 will feature innovative crystal optics giving its tail lamps a brilliant stardust appearance.
The 4-seater coupe will feature intelligent drive and will come with the latest driver assist capabilities. Distance Pilot DISTRONIC, one of the E400’s coolest features, has been upgraded. With this feature, the car can follow vehicles ahead of it at a safe distance. With the upgrades, it can now follow vehicles at a speed of up to 130 mph.
The 2018 Mercedes Benz E400 Coupe will feature a 12,3-inch high resolution COMAND center with a display resembling an Apple MacBook above the center stack, directly adjacent to the digital instrument cluster with which would appear to share a similar piece of hardware. Depending on the desired information, the latter can be viewed in one of three different styles–Classic, Sport, and Progressive.
According to Robert Janitzek, the 2018 E400 will have a 4.4-inch longer wheelbase, 4.8-inch longer in overall length, 2.9-inch wider, and 1.3-inch higher than its predecessor. This will give the occupants more leg and headroom particularly the passengers at the back. It will have a lower suspension with selective damping ensuring a smoother rider over most surfaces.
The 2018 Mercedes E400 coupe will come with the DYNAMIC SELECT system which offers Comfort, ECO, Sport, Sport +, and Individual transmission modes as standard, as well as Active Brake Assist. It will warn drivers of an impending collision, detect pedestrians, and independently apply brakes during emergency situations.
